Web 2.0 Tools

Studyladder has thousands of engaging learning resources for children; including games, video tutorials and printable activity sheets.

LearningApps.org is a Web 2.0 application, to support learning and teaching processes with small interactive modules. Those modules can be used directly in learning materials, but also for self studying. The aim is to collect reusable building blocks and make them available to everyone. Blocks (called Apps) include no specific framework or a specific learning scenario. The blocks are therefore not suitable as complete lessons or tasks, instead they must be embedded in an appropriate teaching scenario.

VocabularySpellingCity’s Teaching Resources pages provide free lesson plan ideas and great supplemental materials and spelling resources for teachers in all subject areas and grade levels.

MyStorybook.com is free to use. You can make unlimited number of stories, upload images, and share your stories for free. To support the site, we charge $5 for high quality printable PDFs of a storybook. After paying, you can still revise your story and reprint it as many times as you want.

Popplet is a tool that allows users to visualize ideas. Teachers and students can create graphic organizers, timelines, and many other forms of visual organization. Popplet’s strength as a collaborative brainstorming tool, however, should not lead teachers to overlook its usefulness as an effective presentation tool.
