Different aspects of internet safety had already been tackled in various ways. However, we feel that ongoing awareness is of utmost importance. They were also informed aboutf the services that https://www.besmartonline.org.mt/ offers, from educational material to reporting abusive content. A group of PSCD students, as part of the eTwinning project Youths United: Preparing for Our Future Together, worked collaboratively by brainstorming tips relating to Internet Safety using Tricider. The tips were collected in a calendar month of Internet safety tips. This calendar is being followed during PSCD lessons throughout February. |

St Gorg Preca College, Valletta Primary | Crystal Vassallo | First the students had a discussion about internet safety and they came up with some ideas of what they do to stay safe on the internet. Some children mentioned that they must never give their passwords to anyone and that they should tell an adult if a stranger sends them a message. After the discussion, the students played two quizzes about internet safety. They were really motivated and had fun. Overall they managed to get almost all questions correct. Afterwards, they played a game about internet safety. Students had to answer questions related to internet safety to be able to proceed with the game. The students really enjoyed playing this game. At the end of the activity, the students designed posters and were hung on the corridor’s noticeboard. |

Following, the students did the Kahoot Quiz, the Multiple Choice quiz and the Wordsearch. During all these activities I asked students to write words and short notes on information they were reading. This was part of the final activity as a whole class which involved a brainstorming / mindmap exercise on WorkSpace app as per the attached photos.
